January 4th, 2013
Preparations - Vitamins, etc.

Just three more days-- eesh.
Three more days to relax... right? WRONG. Hah. :c
I'm spending these last few days of winter break doing homework I told myself I was going to do at the beginning of this break...- but my procrastination got the best of me. Dang, I should really fix that.
Anyway, I have also been doing some preparations for this long lasting 'adventure,' and after some scavenging around the house, I managed to find a few things I'm hoping will help me a little bit through this.

First, I happened to find an unopened little package containing one of those pill organizers. You know the long green things that have the days of the week on them? :) Well, I decided I'm going to put it to use.

Second, I found a bottle of Liquid Soft-Gel Green Tea Fat Burner pills. I'm not exactly sure where we got these, but I'm sure if you did some looking around you'll probably find them. Apparently this specific pill is supposed to increase calorie burning, kick-start your fat burning ability, and provide powerful antioxidant protection. WOOT!

Next, I found a bottle of One Daily Women's (which is most likely a "knock off" of One A Day Women's? ;P ). It's a multivitamin/multimineral supplement that supports bone strength, breast health, heart health, and immune health-- as a taker of the depo birth control (I take it for periods! Do NOT eat my little virgin soul please <3 ), this should help me a lot since it contains calcium, and I know the shot can cause some damage to the bones.

Last but not least I found a little blue bottle of Puritan's Pride L-Carnitine, which helps with heart health, producing energy from fat, and helping the body use stored energy to support endurance during recovery from high-intensity exercise.

Starting this Sunday I'll be taking all three of these daily every morning-- and hopefully it will work out.
For those of you who were trying to find things that you think my help influence weight loss, etc., I hope these little discoveries of mine help?

Until next time,

Emily <3

  1. I don't really want to burst your happy bubble..but the green tea fat burner stuff doesn't really work. Maybe perhaps as a mental placebo, but that's about it. The other vitamins will be good for you though. Be sure to check the expiration dates though, just in case. I bought them awhile back...so I'm not sure how long they are good for. I can always get you more though. Unfortunately, there is NO diet pill out there that actually works. The only thing that works is eating healthier and exercising. I know...it sucks! You would think with all of our modern scientific advancements they would have come up with a cure for obesity. We can get a man to walk on the moon, but we can't develop a diet pill that actually does burn fat?? Again..just cut back on the junk and exercise a bit more. Don't overdo it at first though and burn yourself out. Just make small changes and then work your way up to bigger ones. Make changes you know that you can KEEP and that you can honestly stick by. Otherwise, you will just end up back at square one after you did all that work to lose the weight. I don't even think it should be called a diet...it should be a change of lifestyle since to maintain it, you will always have to stick by it. That's not saying that you can't ever have another piece of cake or cookie. On the contrary. Don't completely deprive yourself either or it will also backfire. If you want a cookie once in awhile, have ONE. Just don't eat 5 or 6! LOL I love you baby!! Good luck and I will help you out as much as you want me to!

    1. Even if they don't work, it will at least be worth it to try anyway... and who knows, they might actually work for me? It doesn't hurt to be optimistic :)

  2. I found out I was allergic to green tea this way. Be careful taking things, and take one at a time. If your body handles it well with no side effects after a week, then you can add another. If something goes wrong you will want to know WHAT it was you took. My fridge is loaded with things I had to try. Hydroxicut, SlimQuick (with and without caffeine), ActiVit, and Ripped Fuel 5x. Some of these are just like taking 5 cups of coffee all at once and your heart pays for it. You will be on such a high, then come crashing down to sleep. I paid good money to try them, and even if they didn't work for me, I can't seem to throw them out. There is no pill that does us any good. Try it, the extra boost might help you get another mile in, and that is good. Just please, take them one at a time at first and be careful. I want you to win, and I have high hopes for you. :)

    1. As far as I'm aware, I'm not allergic to green tea-- so thank goodness that I don't have to worry about that :) I've taken multivitamins before too--so I'm more than sure that I'll be okay there. As for the other one.. I'm not sure, so I might try it out this Sunday to see if there are any negative effects. Let's hope not! Thanks for your concern and advice Jennifer! :) And thanks for your support! <3 I promise that I'll be careful!
